In my blog I take a look at Manuels Puig's novel the Kiss of the Spider Woman. Here you can can find four articles, three of which critically observe key postmodern theorists. These include Adorno on The Culture Industry, Althusser and his essay "Ideological State Apparatuses" and lastly Freud's "Interpretation of Dreams". My fourth extract applies these theories to Puig's text observing the ways in which postmodern theory influenced the writers of the time.
